Position Description:

The Department of Critical Care Medicine needs a Clinical Research Coordinator. Full time 1.0 FTE who will report directly to the manager of critical Care Medicine Research.

He/She will be a member of the Critical Care Research Support team that provides regulatory oversight to the Principal Investigators (PI's) and will assist with active studies within Critical Care.

The individual will work closely with the PI's and collaboratively with the lab team members and participate in lab meetings.


Here's What You'll Get to Do:

  • Coordinate and share responsibility with the Principal Investigator and research team for all aspects of the research studies
  • Collaborate with clinicians and research teams at our site to assure completeness and accuracy of documentation as well as data, facilitate use of the protocol and maintain quality assurance
  • Familiar with Health Canada Submissions and Regulatory Guidelines
  • Development of other study documents as required.
  • Help prepare for audits, site visits and monitoring both locally and external
  • Keep abreast of regulations and policies governing clinical research and communicate to research team members (e.g., Tricouncil Policy Statement, ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, and Health Canada).
  • Provide support to other research team members, where necessary.

Here's What You'll Need:


  • Graduate degree in health sciences and familiarity with clinical settings.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a research coordinator
  • Tri-Council Policy Statement and Good Clinical Practice Certifications (TCPS2 and GCP)
  • Familiar with the SickKids regulatory processes an asset
  • Advanced problem solving, organizational, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • You possess excellent computer skills
  • You are selfmotivated, selfdirected, able to independently and within a team.

Employment Type: 1.0 FTE (1 Year contract
- with opportunity for renewal)
