Hiring Unit:

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences_

Position Summary:
Enters journal transactions. Prepares deposits and payment requisitions for approval.

Responds to specific inquiries regarding accounting transactions and supports departments in resolving related issues.

Supports department in assisting internal and external parties with balances and expense reports.

Responds to general inquiries within area of responsibility and file requests. Follows up as required.

Provides support with record keeping.

Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

Basic knowledge of accounting principles. Organizational skills, attention to detail and initiative. Proven ability to prioritize and multitask to meet strict deadlines. Client-focused and service-oriented with a proven ability to assist a variety of clients (academics, managers, other administrators). Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated effective communication skills (ability to clearly transmit and receive information both in writing and verbally). Demonstrated ability to work in a PC environment using word-processing software, spreadsheets (Excel), databases (Access). Knowledge of French and English.
