The Specialist will be focused on tax reporting for our international businesses and provides support on international tax planning activities.

What You Will Do:
- Coordinate the International Tax Compliance function, including the review of all Canadian foreign information returns such as T106, T1134 and Country by Country reporting. Works with advisors in foreign countries to ensure timely and accurate foreign reporting requirements are met.
- Support the Canadian Income Tax compliance function in the identification and reporting of FAPI.
- Prepare timely and accurate calculation of surplus accounts and adjusted cost base of our foreign businesses
- Support the Tax Reporting and Financial Planning & Analysis functions by providing timely and accurate forecasts of international taxes as well as the assessment and adoption of technology to support the functions
- Monitor for changes in Canadian international tax legislation as well as domestic legislative changes in countries we operate. Provide timely reporting of pending changes, assist in the analysis of impact to the business and plan for implementation of changes.
Who You Are:
- You possess a University Degree in Business Administration or related field and a Professional Accounting designation. 8 years of income tax experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Completion of CPA / CICA In-Depth Tax course; Completion of International Tax course, or equivalent preferred.
- Completion of CPA /CICA Corporate Reorganizations course, or equivalent, would be an asset.
- Understanding of ASC740 & previous experience with international tax, including crossborder transactions and foreign affiliate regime.
