Description

This position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operation and programming of the Playroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment.

Through effective operation of all Playroom programs, the Playroom Staff will create a safe, caring, and engaging environment conducive to building trust with all members and placing the Royal Glenora Club at the highest standard of a private member club.

Responsibilities

Greet/interact professionally with members and children.
Provide care to infants and toddlers including snack offerings and diaper changes.
Engage children of all ages with a variety of group activities including craft making, swimming, and camp games.
Prepare and serve snacks and/or meals.
Respond to parents' inquiries in a timely fashion.
Promote health and wellness through hand washing, cleaning of toys, etc.
Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Clean and organize playroom and putting away any hazard equipment.
Support and assist other team members by conversing and contributing information on an ongoing basis.
Personal/professional conduct demonstrates RGC Core Values and Code of Conduct. Demonstrates ethical principles in all daily activities.

Qualifications:

1 year minimum experience in the childcare profession
Early Childhood Education Diploma or Childcare Level 1 is an asset
Current Vulnerable Sector Check
Infant/Child First Aid Certificate
Standard First Aid/CPR C/AED is required
Proficient Computer skills (Word, Excel)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional customer service focus
Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety
Work days are full time day shift, must be able to work Saturday to Wednesday, will consider some flexibility in start and finish times.
