About REST Centres

Restoration and Empowerment for Social Transition or (R.E.S.T.) Center is a not for profit organization primarily engaged in interventions aimed at promoting transition to housing programs that provide diverse, multi-faceted supports for youth leaving the care system in its preventive efforts to end homelessness.

Support programs include affordable housing, mentorship, counseling, education, life skills and employment training opportunities.

Our mission calls for societal understanding that youth homelessness has many root causes and complexities.

Lack of affordable housing for example contributes to hidden homelessness, for youth who turn to couch surfing and don't show up in the numbers.

With increased understanding, we can mobilize community resources to help them transcend instability and achieve independence.
