The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry is looking for innovative leaders who are as passionate about Ontario's natural resources as we are; and who are self-motivated and can take the initiative to move our programs forward strategically by joining the Management Team in the Northwest Region.

In the Districts, the supervisor leads and manages business and operational planning, development, and implementation, as well as the evaluation and compliance monitoring of key programs (e.g. forestry, lands and waters, aggregates, fisheries and wildlife).

You will deliver on strategies and frameworks to support the implementation of mandated corporate, regional and local programs and services.

In this position, you will also lead and oversee important relationship building and consultation with Indigenous communities, stakeholders, and the public, and work to develop relevant partnerships to deliver priority work.


The Regional Resources Section provides strategic leadership, advice and direction for resource management, plan development and implementation for Northwest Region.

It also coordinates the field delivery of the ministry's mandate by the region's district offices, including support on land-use planning, renewable energy, wildlife, species at risk, aggregates, forestry, Indigenous relations, fisheries and Crown land.

In addition, the section also coordinates issues management, working closely with district staff to address resource management concerns.
