Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with vendor sales operations management in technology, advertising, or internet.
  • Experience coaching talent.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently.

Preferred qualifications:


  • MBA or Master' s degree. Experience with quality assurance processes including conducting audits, facilitating calibration sessions, and using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiar with digital advertising, Google Ads, vendor terms. Knowledge of Google Ads campaign building and optimization (for Builders, Upper Mass Market, and Scaled Onboarding roles).
  • Understanding of selling best practice and techniques (e.g., objection handling, competitive selling).
  • Ability to effectively influence without authority a wide range of stakeholders, influencers and decisionmakers.
  • Ability to develop and deliver a joint business strategy that is dynamic and balances shortterm delivery with longterm sustainable success.

About the job:


As a Head of Vendor Performance Management, you'll play a critical role within Google Customer Solutions (GCS) vendor sales management.

You will be the principal stakeholder for the team of Vendor Performance Managers and the partner vendor management team(s), influencing and holding them accountable to deliver excellent sales performance and quality while enabling site-program success with support.

You will be responsible for analyzing vendor performance and presenting key insights to Google sales leadership, supporting initiatives to improve GCS vendor operations, and sharing best practices with vendor management and Google teams across global markets and lines of business.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $192,000-$282,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Responsibilities:


  • Coach Vendor Performance Managers (VPM) to provide the necessary guidance to create a shared outlook and a combined plan for the markets. Guide the VPM partnerships with external vendor management as well as internal central and market sales teams.
  • Enable vendor sales performance and service quality through monitoring weekly sales performance metrics and sharing key market performance insights with sales leadership.
  • Build influential, trusted partner relationships with vendor sales management (e.g. Senior Managers) for a selected line of business.
  • Provide critical ontheground feedback and support to land vendor operations improvement initiatives led by central Google teams.
  • Develop and execute a people strategy for vendor sales programs which will ensure that each market/program has the current and future bench of talent to execute for growth. Advocate for "managing to outcomes" to drive vendor performance.
