Employee Experience & Communications Specialist (Hybrid or Remote)

The Opportunity:


As a key member of the People & Culture team, the Employee Experience & Communications Specialist is responsible for programs and communications plans that enhance the employee experience throughout the Altus career journey.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Experience and Communications, you will contribute to moments that matter by working in close collaboration with key stakeholders globally to promote our employer brand.

Your positive impact with teams across our corporate departments and business units builds morale and work relationships, increasing employee commitment, engagement, and retention.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute on a global internal communications and employer brand program aligned to overall business strategy and objectives, with a focus on creating a positive workplace and engaging employee experience
  • Collaborate with the Employee Experience team to ideate and solve for organizational culture action plan items
  • Provide superior communication support on key projects to create awareness, understanding and alignment of key annual and adhoc transformation initiatives across the organization
  • Write, edit and distribute internal company communications for consistent voice and messaging in keeping with brand and business goals (intranet posts, executive communications, presentations, etc.)
  • Generate reporting and insights for Altus leaders and HR Business Partners to showcase departmental views as it relates to culture, engagement and motivation
  • Support the management of employee town hall forums, including leading role in Altus' recognition and rewards program execution
  • Act as a resource and support system for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion ERGs to help promote and drive awareness to their initiatives and events
  • Research trends and implement best practices to ensure highly effective communications

Experience Required:

  • 2 years of experience working in communications or marketing Exceptional written and oral communication skills, and strong business acumen including analytical and organizational planning skills Extensive experience working with internal communications and analytics tools; knowledge of Workplace platform is preferred but not essential Outstanding attention to detail Ability to remain calm under pressure and while managing multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrated good judgement, tact and discretion when dealing with confidential and highly sensitive information Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the business Solutions oriented, flexible and adaptive to change Selfstarter with an ability to work independently on assigned tasks Experience using design tools including Adobe Photoshop and Premier Pro is an asset
