The Technology Associate is responsible for assisting in organizing, preparing and conducting various business technology activities related to the bank's commercial loan systems including but not limited to RRT (Risk rating/spreading software, LTS (adjudication software) and Livelink (workflow tool) as well as any other commercial loan systems implemented over time.


This role will also help assess training needs and work with the training manager to determine the appropriate delivery mechanism for all training content.

and to review and provide feedback and content on all eLearning modules related to commercial lending.


The Technology associate is also responsible for working with the Communications Analyst to update the user manuals for RRT, MRA, Livelink and LTS systems, as well as all other training and guidance materials for credit analysts and other users and to ensure that all content on the P & C Portal and/or SharePoint site is updated as needed and remains relevant.

This role also performs the following activities: 1) works with Risk Management on areas of policies and procedures that need greater clarity, 2) performs data quality training, 3) escalates data quality issues that come out of the DQ group, 4) participates in Basel and ad-hoc projects and 5) works with technology in designing, testing and preparing & delivering training on all system enhancements.


Key Accountabilities

  • Based on input from across the Policy & Governance area as well as incoming inquiries on the Help Desk, organize, assist in preparing and conducting all training sessions related to commercial lending systems to optimize the knowledge and skill of system users
  • Works with the Communications Analyst to ensure that all job aids and user guides are up to date and accurate and that they support the requirements of system users.
  • Identifies areas of data quality that need supplemental training an executes training
  • Provides help desk support to all business purpose lending personnel, identifying what areas to enlist to resolve issues and answer questions as needed.
  • Works with the learning managers to develop and update an employee On-Boarding Program and to create, update and maintain elearning related to commercial loan systems.

  • Influence: Training strategy including elearning and face to face training for Commercial Lending Personnel.
  • Influence: System enhancements and sustainment on all commercial systems platforms.

Scope & Impact

  • Supports the credit risk management of the entire commercial loan portfolio; all LOBs with business purpose loans across the Commercial Bank.
  • May Interact with all levels of management including senior executives
  • Voice of authority in directing PM's and Underwriters on technology related processes

Knowledge & Skills

  • Very strong presentation skills
  • Very strong communication skills
  • 5 or more years of experience in commercial credit underwriting.
  • B.A. in Business or Finance. MBA preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of Bank systems including MRA, RRT, APMS, LTS, LTSL and Livelink.
  • In depth knowledge of Regulatory requirements
