Residents of Lanark County searching for work or considering a career change to ensure stable employment; full-time hours; or improved wages; CES is your employment centre dedicated to assisting area job seekers between the ages of 15 to 65+.

CES' support is free-of-charge.

CES helps each individual 1-to-1 to enhance their employability and achieve career goals. We understand that job searching can be challenging.

Whether you're currently receiving unemployment benefits and want to kickstart your job search or you simply need assistance in finding the right job or career path, we can help.


Our employment consultants will help you with:

  • Career planning and decision making to help you choose a career path
  • Better Jobs Ontario program information and training funds
  • Learn how to selfmarket for the position you are seeking
  • Developing a wellcrafted resume, cover letter, as well as job interview coaching
  • Access to local job opportunities and the hidden job market
  • Effective ways to job search both online and offline
  • Careerrelated workshops, webinars, certification courses and online training

The government has set specific criteria for clients in order to be eligible to work with a consultant and access assisted services.


  • Individuals must have a SIN number to be eligible to receive assisted services.
  • Be legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Community Employment Services is located in Perth, Ontario
