Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare, follow and promote sitespecific health, safety and sustainability plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, our people and clients and the public;
  • Communicate and liase with client and project team and act as a contact for additional resources required by the client;
  • Lead daily prejob meetings, routine progress meetings and postjob meetings which include safety and technical matters;
  • Lead and coordinate daily field activities and programs;
  • Provide mentorship, coaching and training to new hires and team members;
  • Completion of Phase 1 and 2 environmental site assessments;
  • Lead groundwater and surface water monitoring programs;
  • Lead drilling, borehole logging and monitoring well installations;
  • Lead remedial excavation programs;
  • Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project execution and performing tasks as requested efficiently and accurately, using standard methods and techniques;
  • Assist project team in the communication, management and cost control associated with various programs;
  • Gain the knowledge required to provide technical direction and advice to team as required;
  • Prepare supporting documentation for reports;
  • Supervision of contractors on site.
  • Extended working hours and travel as required for various field programs; and weekend work as required for various programs
  • Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications:


  • Technical Diploma and/or Degree;
  • 25 years' experience;
  • Class 5 Drivers License;
  • Ability to work challenging and potentially extended hours under varying weather conditions;
Working toward professional registration/certification or recently certified would be an asset
