Working Arrangement

The Release Manager will ensure that all software, platform and technology releases within Group Function adhere to the Manulife corporate standard on release management.
In particulars:
- Communicate the overall release schedule, interdependencies, and necessary coordination between different teams. Communicate with release managers from different IT departments.
- Publish weekly updates on the release activities. Track the progress and find issues, if any.
- Always work to improve the process of managing releases.
- Ensure the allocation of Release Engineers to every release.
- Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully.
- Team up with relevant development teams responsible for building the automation tools used to develop and deploy the software.
- Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notification lists, and dependencies.
- Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management.

What we are looking for
-
Skills Required:
- 7 + years of experience in release management, code promotion and requirements management
- B.Tech in Computer Science or an equivalent degree
- Project management experience, process mapping and artifact creation such as workflows
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CD/CI) pipelines
- Experience in working with DevOps and Agile methodologies including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban
- Expert knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- Team management skills
- Experience in the use of Jira, Git, and Visual Studio Release Management.
- ITIL V3 + certification

Salary & Benefits
The annual base salary for this role in the primary location of Toronto, Ontario is expected to be between $82,500.00 CAD - $148,500.00 CAD.
