    Position Summary

    The Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs Secretariat office is recruiting a Recruitment Coordinator. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruitment Coordinator will help the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs meet the organization's staffing needs. This individual will work closely with all hiring leads to find potential candidates and manage the full cycle recruiting process (job posting to offer). As a key member of our human resources team, the Recruitment Coordinator will also help support ongoing projects, data entry, file maintenance, and other administrative tasks as needed. This role is best suited for someone who can multitask, pay attention to detail, adjust to changing schedules, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Coordinate full cycle recruitment and selection processes using the prescribed HRIS system.

    Create job postings and job descriptions.

    Schedule multiple interviews and meetings with hiring managers and selection committee from different departments.

    Assist with onboarding and offboarding of new employees.

    Assist with new hire orientation as required.

    Build relationships with First Nation people and organizations to ensure the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is recognized and represented.

    Participate in career fairs in Winnipeg and surrounding areas.

    Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience

    Certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized post-secondary institution. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

    3+ years of experience in a human resource environment performing full cycle recruitment and other human resource functions.

    Strong sourcing skills and the ability to head hunt is considered an asset.

    Experience using a HRIS system; experience using BambooHR considered an asset.

    Experience working in Human Resources with First Nations or First Nations organizations in Manitoba or other regions.

    Knowledge of traditional First Nation philosophy and contemporary practices.

    Knowledge and understanding of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs and/or other First Nation organizations in Manitoba.

    Proficient use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Must have a current satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Clear Child Abuse Checks.
