Reporting to the AVP (Academic), you'll lead the charge in identifying pathways for students to seamlessly transition from micro-credentials, certificates, and diplomas at other institutions to the University of Regina's undergraduate degrees.

What You'll Do:


  • Cooperate with relevant academic and administrative units at the university to develop a strategy for promoting the university's academic program and articulation agreements with other institutions both internally and externally.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, strengths, and gaps within current and future articulation and academic program agreements with other postsecondary institutions.
  • Build a matrix to analyze which programs at other postsecondary institutions could ladder to the university's relevant degree program through an articulation agreement.
  • Garner a liaison relationship with other education institutions to seek information and work through potential future agreements.
  • Develop appropriate program delivery fee models for academic program agreements and provide calculations regarding future revenues from student transfers to the University of Regina.
  • Construct estimations on the administrative costs for delivering an academic program in partnership with another postsecondary institution or implementing an articulation agreement.

Position Requirements


What You'll Bring to this Position:

  • Master's degree in a related field such as educational administration or leadership in post-secondary education, business administration, management, law, or another related field.
  • 5 years in a postsecondary education setting.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.

Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in the Role:

  • Significant experience in Canadian higher education related to academic programming, curriculum development, transfer credits, or recruitment.
  • Experience with and knowledge of a wide array of academic technologies that support academic programming.
  • Experience with writing and maintaining contracts and agreements.
  • Ability to negotiate amongst stakeholders to achieve a common goal.
  • Ability to build trusting relations with individuals, internally and externally, to discuss potential options for future academic program and articulation agreements.
  • Research skills and ability to do trend analysis to determine patterns in student transfers from one postsecondary to another postsecondary institution.
  • Experience supporting EDI initiatives in higher education settings.
  • Experience with evaluating the alignment of microcredentials, diplomas and certificates with fouryear degree academic programs and determining potential laddering arrangements.
  • Experience developing tools, resources, and activities to support academic agreement development and student recruitment through partnerships with other postsecondary institutions.
  • Experience with developing fee models and overall budget analysis related to programming.
