Sleep Medix is a sleep and respiratory service provider supplying Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT), CPAP therapy and respiratory support services across Western Canada.

Sleep Medix is seeking a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) for a Full -Time permanent position in
Edmonton, AB.
Reporting to the Director of Operations, or the appropriate designate, the MOA will be accountable for:

  • Answering multiple incoming telephones lines, routing calls, taking messages, providing general information to patients, greeting and assisting incoming patients, schedule appointments, perform patient appointment reminder calls, route incoming and outgoing mail, distribute correspondence and other material to clinic staff.
  • Perform a variety of routine typing assignments; operate personal computer to draft basic correspondence, enter data, and print letters, labels, reports, and/or other materials to assist clinicians, type and submit form letters.
  • Medical equipment cleaning/reprocessing.
  • Some bookkeeping may be required, including billing of patient services.
  • Establish, maintain, process, and or update patient files, records, and/or other patientrelated documents in accordance with established clinical and administrative guidelines.
  • Stock and distribute office and medical supplies.
  • Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned and act as a brand ambassador.
  • Medical Office Administrative Certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Previous sleep and CPAP clinic experience an asset.
  • Previous Medical office/clerical experience is an asset.
  • Computer/word processing knowledge and experience (MS Office Skills/Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Detailoriented and assertive.
  • Skilled in use of operating basic office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Strong ability to maintain multiple calendars, appointment scheduling.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team.

Hourly rate of pay is based on experience.
Full-time hours: 37.5 per week
