Responsibilities:

Efficiently plan and coordinate the dispatch of our truck fleet to optimize routes, schedules, and delivery times.
Communicate effectively with drivers, ensuring they are aware of their assignments, routes, and any changes to their schedules.
Monitor realtime GPS tracking and traffic updates to make informed decisions and adjustments to routes as needed.
Maintain constant communication with clients and provide updates on delivery status, delays, and other relevant information.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to schedule and plan routine vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
Resolve any issues or emergencies that arise during transportation, such as breakdowns, accidents, or delays, while keeping stakeholders informed.
Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and relevant documentation.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a truck dispatcher or in a similar logistics role is preferred (2 years or more)
Strong geographical knowledge of surrounding areas.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Proficiency in using dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
Ability to handle highpressure situations and make quick decisions.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with transportation regulations and safety standards in Canada.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
Problemsolving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
