Description:


As a Maintenance Worker II, you may perform routine preventative and demand maintenance activities within the exterior and interior of the building.

Under general supervision, you may perform a variety of semi-skilled maintenance and repair work on facility architectural, structural and mechanical systems/components to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment.

You may perform a wide range of general maintenance duties including maintenance and repair of drywall, floors and painting.

Additional duties may include minor plumbing repair; minor repairs on equipment; checks on equipment for pressure and temperature; and disassembly of equipment for cleaning.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent. Possession of a valid driver's licence. Power Engineer 5th Class Certificate required where boiler support is necessary.


Additional Required Qualifications:

Class 5 or higher Driver's License. Mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, pay attention to detail.


Preferred Qualifications:

HVAC specific training and/or experience. Ability to read and interpret building drawings and schematics (e.g., architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, structural, civil, etc.). Experience in operations and maintenance in a healthcare related facility is desired.
