Position Summary


The telecommunications market is undergoing a transformation and Cogeco is forging ahead with our plan to enter the Canadian mobile services market.

We are looking for a Financial Analyst-Inventory to support our wireless team.


The main responsibility of the Financial Analyst will be to work alongside the Manager Financial Reporting - Inventory in the development, testing and implementation of the new inventory system and processes, including the month-end process with strong and effective financial controls.


Responsibilities:


  • Support Manager Financial Reporting
  • Inventory in implementing Inventory processes for Mobile Network deployment to ensure that all inventory transactions and financial reports are in compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal controls requirements (C198).
  • Be responsible of inventory analysis, operational adjustments and monthend adjustments
  • Prepare monthly account analysis for inventory and ensure integrity of Data
  • Evaluate and provide recommendations related to inventory count procedures, monthly reconciliations and other internal controls in order to prevent and detect highrisk activities.
  • Develop, implement and review variance analysis to identify key drivers of inventory shrink/over.
  • Monitor the cost of various inventory items to ensure that they are properly valued in line with the industry's best practices and accounting standards (IFRS).
  • Actively monitor functioning of systems, integration of data, identify inefficiencies and recommend adjustments
  • Participate in other various Capital management activities
Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • Certified Professional Accounting designation or equivalent an asset

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 + years of experience in a similar accounting role
  • Inventory experience
  • Wireless experience (an asset)

Nous sommes à la recherche d'un(e) analyste financier(ère), inventaire pour aider notre équipe des services sans fil.


La principale responsabilité de la personne titulaire de ce poste sera de travailler avec la gestionnaire de la comptabilité et des contrôles financiers au développement du nouveau système et processus d'inventaire, y compris le processus de fin de mois, avec des contrôles financiers solides et efficaces.
