THE POSITION?


You are an individual with a resume documenting rich experiences in ministry, non-profit work or education with a proven track record of leading service and outreach.


You have well-established connections and relationships with community-based and global organizations, churches, outreach programs and/or ministries that serve the vulnerable or less fortunate in local communities and in communities beyond Vancouver.


You are an inspiring servant leader with the ability to teach effectively and create the scaffolding to support a vibrant and dynamic service and outreach program for K-12 students.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to build learning experiences that support the LCS Learner Attributes profile.

Eligible for teaching certification or letter of permission.

Experience in non-profit, church ministry and/or service-orientated education.

Bachelor's degree in education or related field.


Evidence of strong sense of purpose and identity built on Biblical principles and participation in local a Christian church community.

HOW TO APPLY?


JOB DESCRIPTION:


Report directly to the Head of Schools and collaborate with the Director of Instruction to facilitate the implementation of K-12 Bible curriculum and the LCS Learner Attributes Profile through service learning.

Create, publish, and share a compelling Bible-orientated service-learning philosophy and framework.

Develop, schedule and coordinate service learning and outreach opportunities, trips and experiences for K-12 students.

Our vision is that year 1-2 will focus on building the program at grades 9-12 and expand beyond in subsequent years.

FTE will increase as required, depending on enrollment.


Establish trusting relationships with local churches, ministries and non-profit organizations serving the vulnerable, marginalized, indigenous, elderly and homeless in our community and in communities beyond our school.

Recruit, mentor, disciple and develop staff and volunteers to support the program.

Participate in fundraising and stakeholder events as necessary to promote the school and its mission in the community.


Participate in an ongoing strategic planning process designed to ensure the service-learning program fulfills the vision of LCS to make a difference in a changing world for the glory of God.
