Worley Canada Construction is seeking a full-time
HR Student to join our People Team at our office in Edmonton, AB from beginning of May to end of August 2024.


Responsibilities:

Recruitment Support:


  • Provide support to the Recruitment team by assisting with
:


  • Phone screens and reference checks
  • Interview coordination and support
  • Schedule drug and alcohol preaccess testing
  • Posting requisitions for vacant positions in the applicant tracking system (Taleo),
  • Update internal recruitment tool as required
  • Coordination of Onboarding Process
:


  • Generate and issue offer letters, track offer acceptance; follow up as required.
  • Maintain Tracking spreadsheet for new hires, rehires, transfers and demobilizations
  • Communicate first day start logistics to new hires, rehires and transfers
  • Organize all details of the orientation, including conducting orientation with new hires
  • Upload personnel paperwork and benefit paperwork to Human Resources Information System (HRIS) SharePoint
HR Administration Support:


  • Initiate change of engagement forms, demobilization forms, etc. as necessary for employees and contractors as needed and liaise with applicable site coordinators
  • Perform HRIS audits and verification of data integrity of all HRIS entry
  • Issue employment verification letters
  • Generate and communicate employment related documents for new hires, transfers and rehires.
  • Electronically file personnel file data in database
  • Respond to general inquiries from staff such as benefits, timesheets, and expenses
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • Must be current student available for 4 month work term (40 hrs per week) starting May 202
  • Working forwards a certificate, diploma or degree accreditation in Human Resources is preferred
  • General knowledge of Human Resources functions and programs is an asset
  • Competency in MS Office suite of tools, primarily Word, Outlook and Excel
