All North Truck Centre is a Mack and Volvo dealership based in Sudbury, Ontario with 2 other branches in North Bay and Sault St Marie.

The company is currently looking for a Service Foreman at the North Bay Branch.

The Shop Foreman will work closely with all Technicians/Apprentices to oversee and assist with the day-to-day maintenance and repair jobs.

The Shop Foreman must be dependable, enthusiastic, organized, and capable of consistently performing to meet established standards and deadlines.


Key Accountabilities

• Recruits, hires and motivates qualified service technicians
• Conducts regular performance reviews for all technicians in accordance with dealership guidelines.
• Train, coach and mentor technicians/apprentices
• Closely monitor both internal and external service orders and repairs summaries for accuracy
• Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
• Assign work to technicians based on experience level and ability
• Oversee and direct technicians and apprentices based on OEM best practices
• Work with Service Advisor to prioritize work and update customers
• Communicate repair process to customers throughout repair event
• Prepare repair estimates, and communicate to customers for authorizations
• Review and audit repair orders for completion and quality
• Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
• Maintain good housekeeping standards with the facility through job delegation
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies, rules and regulations by all employees under their supervision as required by the company and legislation
• Ensure all PPE is worn as per company policy
• Respond to any workplace hazards identified by the JHSC
• Investigate incidents that result in vehicle damage or injury
• Ensure correct handling and storage of all products in the shop
• Respond to and correct unsafe behaviors
• Oversee and organize day to day operations, including both internal and thirdparty repair and maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and general repair when required
• Communicate regularly regarding extent of repairs and anticipated completion times
• Utilize excellent organizational skills in order to complete accurate, legible and descriptive documentation of all completed repairs
• Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases
• Fills in for Service Advisor when necessary.

Salary is negotiable based on experience and knowledge. After the probation period, the salary can be reviewed based on performance.

Must have a 310T license and a minimum of 1 year experience in leadership and 5 years experience in automotive or truck and coach experience.

Salary:
$80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
