The Headlines:


  • In the role of Process Lead
  • Production Services working in Chilliwack, BC at our Fraser Valley Brewery you will be part of the Operations Team You will lead and motivate the direct scheduling team and ensure collaboration and communication of scheduling specialists in production scheduling, brewing and packaging in order to optimize overall production schedules.
  • This position reports to Distribution and Warehouse Manager and works closely with the direct scheduling team.

The Responsibilities:


  • Ensure brew, package and shipping plans are optimized for customer service in conjunction with the run strategy and are optimized for total lowest cost execution.
  • Update and advise brewery leadership on current and future production plans and volumes. Oversees brewery transportation including detention and demurrage exposure.
  • Monitor and support system development required to meet increased complexity and demand.
  • Maintain production templates using run strategy as a baseline.
  • Lead the preparation of daily production schedules to direct plant personnel to produce proper product for today's immediate order demands.
  • Oversee the material planning process to ensure schedule are supported by suppliers.
  • Monitor performance against plans, communicate deviations to corporate planning and scheduling and modifies production schedules as appropriate.
  • Facilitate and coordinate brewery shutdowns, both planned (e.g. holidays) and unplanned (e.g. contingency for weather).
  • Responsible for finished goods inventory levels.
  • Oversight for monitoring and minimizing aging beer and aging beer sources
  • Ensure and provide windows in production schedules for new product and/or process development.
  • Represent the brewery on volume shifts and diversion needs.
  • Facilitate and coordinate new product rollout in the brewery.
  • Drive performance management practices through oneonone's, team performance discussions, and development of the team and goals.

The Other Qualifications:


  • BS or BA in business/technical field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 6 years' prior experience in scheduling
  • Thorough knowledge of the production flow including brewing capabilities, packaging capabilities, shipping constraints, corporate policy and procedures regarding customer orders is necessary.
  • Broad based conceptual and leadership skills to develop and direct individuals and departments involved in diverse activities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of major manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of human resources, quality services, corporate finance, economics and marketing and sales.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, consulting, delegation and facilitation skills to be able to effectively work with senior management in the development and implementation of overall Division strategies.
  • Sound skills in written and oral communications in order to relate to all levels of operations, corporate and supplier contacts.

Job Posting Salary Range:

**$87,400-$109,200
