The Opportunity:
As a Project Coordinator with WSP, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our Project Managers on-site, and your contributions will directly impact project success.
This opportunity is to join the WSP team responsible for the execution and construction of the
Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) .
The PHAI represents the federal government's response to the community-requested solution for the cleanup and local, long-term, safe management of historic low-level radioactive waste in the municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington.

What you can expect to do here:
- You will participate in a team environment, working closely with and supporting the Project Manager.
- You will lead project coordination activities that contribute to the management of projects.
- You will prepare, review, revise, and distribute reports, correspondences and other documentation within allotted schedules and budgets, under the supervision of senior staff.
- You will monitor team compliance to project deliverable schedule.
- You will communicate with the project team and lead the monitoring and control of budgets and schedules.
- You will liaise with the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- You will review invoices and billing summaries for accuracy against project budgets.
- You will support risk management and lessons learned process. You will ensure project files are kept up to date using a specified document control system.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Construction Management or Engineering; CET/C.Tech, P.Eng, EIT accreditations considered an asset.
- More than 3 years of related work experience, including coordination on large construction projects.
- Experience working on environmental construction projects or complex projects over $15M in project value considered an asset.
- Demonstrate up to date knowledge of best practices and project management tools with an appreciation for delivering best value to clients.
- Proven previous experience managing document flow for quality assurance, permit compliance, insurance, and warranties.
- Familiar with supporting the Project Manager with schedule, cash flow, design and construction process, specifications, drawings review, Health and Safety protocol, procurement, estimating, bonding, claims management, dispute resolution and insurance considered an asset.
- Experience on projects in multiple phases of delivery from design through to commissioning and operations under different procurement and delivery models considered an asset.
- Ability to evaluate project impacts on facility operations and provide suggestions to minimize risks and for managing improvements.
- Software proficiency: MS Office, Excel and Adobe
- PMP or CAPM considered an asset
- Must be eligible for CNL Reliability security clearance ( _individual must have 3 full years of verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia _).
