Tiverton, Ontario and Teeswater, Ontario

Hours per week: 40 hours, this is a shift worker position. Shift workers may be assigned hour shifts (days, afternoons and/or nights). Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Accountabilities:
How you will make an impact


  • Perform duties in a safe/compliant manner with respect to Kinectrics policies and procedures.
  • Carry out investigations and technical studies for customers.
  • Conducts and directs trucking fleet with a high degree of independence.
  • Supervise, train, coordinate the trucking fleet operations and participate in short
- and long-range planning.

  • Manage driver scheduling, qualification and allocation of work assignments as required
  • Perform and/or supervise standard and nonstandard field investigations under quality control programs.
  • Prepare estimates.
  • Troubleshoot, service, maintain or supervise the repair or installation of the trucking fleet
  • Critically review data and prepare technical reports written by self or others
  • Directly respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems and/or acquire new or repeat business.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following good and specified quality and safety practices in all aspects of work performed.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What you need to succeed:


  • Completion of a three (3) year community college or undergraduate degree or equivalent plus specialized courses.
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and/or Class 7 trained or received in the past with no concerns of being requalified,
  • Hold a valid and active AZ Driver's License in good standing will be seen as an asset.
  • Hold a valid and active Air Breaks certification in good standing will be seen as an asset
  • Must have a clear driver's abstract.
  • Ten (10) years minimum experience driving a transport truck,
  • Five (5) years minimum experience as a dispatcher required,
  • Preference given to individuals with Forklift experience,
  • Required to adhere to the Ministry of Transportation requirements including medical assessments to maintain AZ driver's license.
  • Ability to work from heights (climbing ladders, scaffolding, stairs).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision or within a team environment.
  • Proficient skills with desktop and onboard computers, trip recorders, onboard GPS, and telecommunications equipment.
  • Flexibility to working shifts, to stay overnight or do overtime work, as required
  • Ability to obtain and successfully maintain site security clearances.
