BIOVECTRA has an opening for a
Manager, Inside Business Development. This is a permanent, full-time position
REMOTE.
- Assessing key service offerings and developing business development target prospect lists for those service categories using available pipeline and market research databases.
- Directly supporting the relevant BD Manager or BD Director in prospect and account meetings to progress business acquisition via the established sales process.
- Collaborating with, linking to, and reporting all activities into marketing and commercial operations processes via the prescribed reporting and communication venues (Salesforce, Portfolio management meetings, Monthly BD/Comm Ops, and Quarterly Commercial Team meetings).
- Collaborating with, and linking activities to crossfunctional representatives from Research & Development, Analytical Development, and Process Technical Transfer to ensure continuous improvement in the quality and technical accuracy of representation and programming exhibited by BIOVECTRA's commercial initiatives.
- Performing business case evaluations as assigned, for new capabilities or specific projects.
- Working across all territories to identify new targets using the commercial operations 'hunting guide' and available sources of pipeline development programs.
- Coordinating the 'Portfolio Management / BD Hunting Guidance' meeting process, together with the Director, Marketing, and based on commercial team objectives as well as available capacity filling opportunities.
- Performing initial lead qualification, then determination of opportunity ownership in conjunction with Senior Director, BD and BD Directors.
- Developing and delivering content such as webinars and white papers.
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA's Health and Safety Policy as outlined in CP0010 Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Statements of Principle, and Responsibilities.
- Additional Duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's request.
- Bachelor's degree preferably in science, marketing or similar field.
- Minimum 3 years' work experience in a chemistry or biotechnology related area, high preference to specific experience and understanding of the Research & Development process.
- Strong technical background.
