Job Description

Oneida New Holland Caledonia location is looking for a farm equipment technician apprentice to learn and grow with our existing team.

Job Summary

Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
Work with licensed 425A technician in the shop during first 23month period and then would be required to work independently
Apprentice Registration with Oneida New Holland min 3year program
Must have own tools and willing to invest in additional tools as needed to complete repairs efficiently. Specialty tools are provided.
Disassemble and reassemble machines, engines, transmissions and other equipment
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets specifications, make adjustments as necessary
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
Attach components and accessory kits to new farm equipment
Be willing to work on small engine and light construction equipment or anything else that may come in the shop for repairs.
Once a licensed technician you will be required to perform road / service call repairs as needed.
Paid manufacturers training. Includes some travel within USA to training centers.

Qualifications:

A combination of experience/education, some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment/agricultural repair
Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including designs, uses, repair and maintenance
Troubleshooting ability to determine causes of operating errors and deciding on action needed
Good communication and customer service skills, ability to work as a team with strong interaction
Must show willingness, enthusiasm, cooperation and dedication to achieve success with our organization
Must have valid G license

Responsibilities and Duties

Able to diagnose equipment by use of diagnostic tools / EST and New Holland service information.
Able to look up and order parts via New Holland Dealer portal and order parts from parts department.
Able to Organize work space / work load efficiently including tracking labour time for repairs
Available to Travel to New Holland Manufacturers Training as required
Complete Web Based Training online and Manufactures training as required by New Holland to achieve and maintain Level 3 Master Certification.
Apprentice schooling at Fanshaw college in London
Maintain min 85% or higher grades.

From $18.00 per hour
