We are looking for seasonal front-of-the-house staff to join our team for the summer patio opening at Eataly Sherway Gardens We have the following positions available:

  • Server (PT)
  • Table Support (PT)
This is a fixed-term position with the contract beginning on May 3, 2024, and concluding on September 30, 2024.


A Table Support Team Member is responsible for creating a high-quality dining experience in Eataly's restaurants through timely and accurate delivery of meals as well as the organization and cleaning of tables.

Reports to Restaurant Manager.

  • Greets guests in assigned area; pours beverage as requested; serves bread and olive oil
  • Runs food from kitchen to guest tables after ensuring each course to be delivered is complete and accurate
  • Runs beverage from bar to guest tables and makes sure water glasses remain filled
  • Removes used dishes and silverware from guest tables between courses and after guests leave the table
  • Maintains cleanliness of all tables and chairs in assigned service area and resets vacated tables
  • Assists servers when needed and understands food descriptions and ingredients of menu items
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned


A Server coordinates the entire service station and communicates with front of the house and back of the house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations.

Reports to the Restaurant Manager.

  • Greets guests and presents them with the menu
  • Informs guests of specials, menu changes, answers questions regarding food, beverages and allergies
  • Receives food and beverage orders from guests and relays to kitchen staff and bartender using a POS system
  • Communicates with the hosts, table support team, kitchen staff and bartenders to coordinate stations
  • Presents, opens and pours wine and beer when serving guests
  • Assists table support team with stocking work stations, removing and resetting used dishes/silverware
  • Assists with cash register at counterservice restaurants
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience in a fastpaced restaurant
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert wellpaced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Smart Serve certification
