Your main responsibilities are:

Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation
Breeding monitoring: algae, daphnia, ceriodaphnia, fathead, trout
Take care of the maintenance of equipment related to breeding and analyses
Maintain one or more systems of aquariums or pools in open systems
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure accuracy and quality of work
Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data
Understand and troubleshoot analyses
Provide input to corrective action procedures
Ensure deadlines are met
Ensure that equipment is appropriately maintained
Use summary reports to plan and organize work
Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations
Keep their work area clean, neat and organized
Contribute to daily and weekly planning
Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or team leader
Minimum of a technical diploma in bioecology / inventory and research in biology or Bachelor in biology from an approved institution or the equivalent of a combination of education and experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good record keeping skills and attention to detail
Dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook

Working Conditions:

Full Time Position
Shifts can include day, afternoons, weekends and overtime if required
Analysts are expected to perform repetitive physical work using a variety of machines and equipment as required and according to deadlines established by their supervisor.
The job requires flexible working hours and shift work
