POSITION:
PRODUCTION LINE WORKER (FULL-TIME)


REPORTING TO:
Production Supervisor


SHIFT:
Afternoon: 3:30pm-12:00am


HOURS PER WEEK:

40 hours (Monday to Friday)


SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTIONS


To perform up to quality, yield and efficiency standards while ensuring all work is completed according to GMP, HACCP, CFIA, SQF and established safety regulations.


WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Cold and humid environment (approximately 4°C to 10°C)
  • Intense smell of the meat and exposure to loud noise
  • Work with raw or breaded chicken
  • Work on the line with conveyers

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience within the food industry is an asset but not essential
    Heavy lifting (up to 25kg/50lbs)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for performing production work in a fast paced environment
  • Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to initiate action
  • Ensure that all work is performed according to pertinent GMP, HACCP, SQF, CFIA and all other established regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Achieve production yield and efficiency standards
  • Ensure that the product quality standard is achieved
  • Inspect product for defects as necessary
  • Place product into appropriate containers
  • May be assigned to perform additional tasks as required
