Required Skills:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Investor relations supports management in communicating to the investor community the financial results and strategy of the business and also serves as the voice of the investor back into the company.

A high performing IR team requires a rigorous process around analyzing, distilling and communicating the company's financials as well as a detailed understanding of external modeling of the company's business and expectations.

The investor relations analyst will play an important role in helping to analyze IMAX's financial results, evaluate external models of IMAX's financials and support the quarterly earnings process as well as work on peer performance analysis and benchmarking.

Responsibilities:

Analyzing sellside financial models and building internal models
Contributing to the preparation and the deliverables for IMAX's quarterly earnings process
Working with the team in creating and maintaining a useful set of IR reference documents
Tracking and analyzing the financial results of peer companies
Assisting in the maintenance of the IR website and other IR communication processes and platforms
Supporting the team in its ongoing engagement with investors and the preparation for events such as an Investor Day
Conducting ad hoc analysis and supporting IR related projects

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business or finance area
Previous position with financial analysis background
Very strong Excel skills required, experience with SAP desirable
Higher level degree desirable

Must have a desire and work ethic to contribute at a high level
Must have a very positive attitude and curiosity for the work
Must have good teamwork skills
Need to have a zero defect mentality
Need to have a deep understanding of public company financials and ability to analyze ratios and trends, while always seeking out the "why"
