WorleyCord is seeking a
Document Controller to work with our growing Document Control Department in our
Edmonton, Alberta head office location.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain master registers of documentation and information filing systems for all drawings & revisions received from our clients
  • Distribute documents, revisions, and new construction work packages in accordance with the document distribution matrices
  • Expedite the review and approval of Quality documents and report the review status of internally developed, supplier and other third party documents
  • Record document flow to and from all interested parties. Issue and track location of all documents and drawings. Issue transmittal letters and receipts concerning the documents in circulation
  • Maintain a current awareness of document handling techniques and be responsible for adherence to the Document Control Manual
  • Secure hard copy and electronic storage of master documents
  • Quality check Transmittals and documentation for compliance
  • Prepare subcontractor packages to be transmitted out
  • Use of document management system database (Aconex)
  • Investigate, evaluate and make necessary changes/enhancements to existing database system to resolve system and related process issues
  • Ensure database systems are maintained to be highly performant and secure
  • Managing clerical job duties as pertaining to document management
  • Compiling information packages for key decision makers in the organization
  • Filing and photocopying as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Expert Microsoft Excel skills is required
  • Advanced database management and computer skills are considered an asset.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management skills
  • Industrial Construction Industry experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
  • The desire to work in a strong team environment to achieve organizational goals, with the ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Proven analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to identify system and organizational problems, determine possible solutions, and communicate these ideas effectively.
  • Completion of a two year technical or community college certificate in Database Programming would be an asset

Work Conditions:

Edmonton Home Office Based.
Cord employees are working a Hybrid Work Schedule (Home & Office Location). Hours of work are 40 hours/week, (Mon-Thurs 8.75 hours/day), (Fri 5 hour day). 100% Office Activities. Sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen for extended periods. Head office location is
