Forklift Operator - Freezer


REPORTING TO
Warehouse Manager


Salary $22/hr - $24/hr plus benefits & 3 weeks vacation

POSITION OVERVIEW


This position is responsible for order processing from Freezer and Ambient warehouse, shipping & receiving products, data entry, pallet movement etc.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Loading & offloading shipments and ensure goods are in good condition.
  • Compare the products received with purchase orders.
  • Maintain record of stock counts incoming and outgoing products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe condition of equipment and work area.
  • Flexible to work any shift or extended hours including Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Pick and process orders (Freezer and Ambient WH) and transport orders in a suitable manner.
  • Ensure all finished goods are stored at the designated place.
  • Prepares sample shipments as per request.
  • Monitor CHEP pallet movement and make transfer entry.
  • Participate in periodical stock counting and warehouse cleaning.
  • Any other work given by the supervisor.

Education and Experience

  • Legally permitted to work in Canada
  • Over 2 years' experience in warehouse environment
  • Over 2 years' experience in freezer environment
  • High school graduate ( Grade 12 completed)
  • Valid Forklift license (Raymond Reach, Counterbalance, Walkie)
  • Full Canadian driver's license
  • Knowledge of health and safety system

  • Good analytical and detail oriented
  • Enthusiastic and ability to process order
  • Ability to lift 1015kg boxes
  • Able to perform multiple task simultaneously
  • Able to work in cold environment for extended periods
  • Capable of working extended hours
  • Available for weekends as needed
