Cenovus is currently looking for an Asset Integrity Inspector to join our team in beautiful Lloydminster, Saskatchewan


Reporting to the Manager of the Lloydminster Integrity Management Site Execution team, within the Upstream business unit, this position will ensure that the requirements of our registered Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) program are adhered to.

Working closely and collaboratively with Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Teams, the primary focus will be on the inspection of fixed pressure equipment.

This position is a permanent, full-time position, located in our Lloydminster office.

Responsibilities:


  • Complete inspection plans for the execution of visual internal/external inspections and NDE activities
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Planning Team to review required inspection work and inspection methods
  • Review inspection reports and utilize our integrity management software program, considering current and past data, to assign inspection intervals
  • Conduct internal and external inspection of pressure vessels, exchangers, and other fixed equipment
  • Complete installation inspections on newly installed pressure equipment
  • Assess damage to pressure vessels
  • Provide recommendations for corrosion mitigation
  • Liaise with the Authorized Inspector
  • Liaise with the Project Engineering team on new construction

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in oil & gas equipment inspection and corrosion mitigation is required
  • ABSA/TSASK In Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency is required
  • Certification in API 510 is required
  • Working knowledge of applicable jurisdictional act & regulations, codes, and standards (ASME, API, CSA)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Capable of working in a fastpaced work environment with dynamically shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • National Board in Service Inspector is considered an asset
  • Certification in API 570 is considered an asset
  • Certification in API 653 is considered an asset
  • CWB Level II Welding Inspector is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of SAP-PM functionality
  • Familiarity using asset integrity management software packages
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Searches for understanding and to find new and appropriate solutions
  • Demonstrates learning from both success/failure
  • Demonstrates clear understanding of various levels of communication (understands what the issue is, what's behind the issue)
  • Knows when and how to compromise and finds solutions to resistance and setbacks
