Student Accessibility & Achievement (SAA) provides support services and reasonable accommodations to McGill students of all levels of study who experience a documented disability(ies) of a permanent, temporary, or episodic nature.

They foster an accessible and inclusive university experience for McGill's diverse student population in collaboration with other Student Services and the wider McGill community through resources, referrals and service provision.


Exam Period:

  • September 1, December 22, 2023_

Position Summary:

  • Ensuring the fair and proper conduct of inperson examinations, ensuring exam security and integrity are maintained at all times
  • Assisting the exam coordinator including the preparation of student entry, student invigilation, distribution of examination materials, and the collection of examinations
  • Assisting students prior to the start of examinations by directing them to their seats and informing them of their exam accommodations
  • Checking the attendance during examinations
  • Ensuring exam security inside the examination rooms
  • Invigilating during examinations, dealing with queries raised by students
  • Monitoring, documenting, addressing and reporting any issues related to exam accommodations
  • Monitoring, documenting, addressing and reporting incidents and/or misconduct
  • Escorting students from exam rooms during the examination as required (e.g., washrooms)
  • Ensuring the examination room is clean and tidy for the next session; resetting the exam room as needed
  • Adhering to McGill University policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an Englishlanguage university where daytoday duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level 4 on a scale of 04

Mandatory Training:
If selected for the invigilator position, you must be available for one of the following training dates:

  • September 19: 1:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m (afternoon)
  • September 20: 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m (evening)
  • September 22: 9:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m (morning)


Please be aware that only after completing the mandatory training will you be eligible to select shifts as an invigilator.


Hourly Salary:
$16.50
