As a Human History Education Program Interpreters, you will:
- Plan and lead a variety of pre-registered educational programs for schools, groups, day camps, birthday parties and courses
- Lead activities for special events at facilities
- Assist in program research and development
- Assist in the delivery of public interpretation services
- Assist in the maintenance of artifacts and program supplies
- Work evenings and weekends and conduct other related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 1
- Experience working with the general public, tour groups, children and other program users
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificates are required prior to employment
- Highly developed communication skills
- Ability to lead, organize, instruct and supervise programs
- Basic knowledge of Western Canadian History
- Hire is dependent upon a Police Information Check including Vulnerable Sector check satisfactory to the City of Edmonton and is a requirement of this position, there may be a cost associated with this requirement

_ Up to 10 temporary, part-time positions for up to 7 months_
Hours:
Up to 39 hours per week, Sunday - Saturday. Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings and overnights is required.

Hours of work can vary and are based on scheduling and booking of programs)
The weekly hours of work for this position are currently under review and may change at a future time.
Any changes will be made in accordance with the City of Edmonton/Civic Service Union 52 collective agreement and the incumbent will be notified in advance.
