- The Business Vendor Analyst supports the efficient and timely delivery of Credit Card projects and initiatives through effective relationship management with our partners and vendors, while preserving the customer experience and maintaining operational efficiencies.
- The Business Vendor Analyst will work with the external vendors along with business and technology partners throughout the Project Life Cycle including initiation, concept, analysis, development, testing and implementation.
- The Business Vendor Analyst will attend project kick off meeting for assigned projects and support resolution of vendor related defects within project methodology. Act as the first point of contact for questions/escalations that arise from projects impacting third party vendors. Vendor Analyst will participate in project requirement gathering sessions on behalf of the vendor acting as a SME as it relates to the project.
- Work closely with team members to provide business / vendor related support as it relates to Credit Cards.
- Solves moderately complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions; Identifies and leads problem resolution
- Exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
- Conveys business context when providing guidance within field of specialty to internal or external stakeholders
- Strong ability to identify operational efficiencies and/or issues/gaps and develop plans/recommend solutions
- Strong ability to research, collect, organize, analyze complex or technical data and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Ability to exercise sound judgement in making decisions
- Engage impacted partners for collaboration on invoicing and forecasting as applicable to project impacts
- Coordinate vendor testing requirements and First Occurrence Verification activities in advance of project implementation as needed (I.e., onsite collateral testing, vendor output review coordination)
- Draft / submit project Change Request to vendor to gain project support. Proper version controls are practiced when submitting Project Change Requests to the vendors, to prevent misalignment of project requirements.
- Work closely with the vendor to obtain the following: work effort assessments, work back schedules, quotes and costs and socialized with the project Business lead/PM for approval.
- Participate in weekly intake routines for both TD Card and MBNA
- Escalate all partner concerns to applicable VRM as issues/concerns arise with the vendor
- Escalate any SLA impacts to the project team and VRM as it relates to the project
- Monitors project health continuously as it relates to the vendor and engages project team as required if project health changes
- Assesses and ensures that customer experience and stakeholder implications are appropriately managed
Job Requirements
- Minimum / Advanced knowledge of project management methodology, including both waterfall and agile practices
- Minimum / Advanced knowledge of project delivery practices and standards across the project life cycle
- Sound knowledge of our TDCT & MBNA credit card portfolio
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years' experience in vendor management or the supply chain field and/or related business experience
