Fibre Optic Installation Technician (Regina, SK)

THIS IS A SUB-CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE TO PERMANENT RESIDENTS WHO HAVE A REGISTERED CANADIAN BUSINESS LICENSE AND GST NUMBER.

To be considered for this job, you must have or obtain the following:

A Federal Business Registration Number & GST Number
Contractor Liability Insurance (min $5,000,000 liability)
An account in Good Standing with Sask WCB
Some Power Tools and Hand Tools, extension ladder/ step ladders
A reliable vehicle and a valid driver's licence
Safety Equipment: steeltoed boots, hardhat, safety glasses, etc.
A Criminal Record Check

Duties

Install Fibre Optic infrastructure in MDUs
Install Fibre Distribution Boxes, raceway conduit, EMT and racetrack and Fibre Termination Boxes
Read and understand telco infrastructure designs
Troubleshoot and problem solve
Work closely with our dispatch office to maintain the highest customer service
Submit reporting on completed work, including pictures
Collaborate with our business partners to solve problems and find solutions

Manage equipment/inventory levels

Complete required learning courses and certifications (paid for by Elite)

Skills and Experience

Previous Fiber Optic installation experience or copper/coax installation experience or a skilled trade such as electrical or related technical experience is required
Capable of using the tools of the trade, including but not limited to meters, power tools, hand tools, ladders and Fibre tools
You must be selfmotivated and have a desire to perform high quality work while providing a bestinclass customer experience
You must be a responsible, advocate for Elite Communications and the partners we represent
You should be a team player and collaborate with our other technicians to solve problems, continuously learn and improve
Able to work at heights or in confined spaces

You must be bondable - a criminal record check and proof of insurance will be required

Pay:
$300.00-$500.00 per day
