General Superintendent.
Your Role
As a General Superintendent, you will manage and lead field construction teams across all projects.
You'll share your wealth of construction knowledge and leadership experience to train and develop supervisory personnel, ensuring all job sites are safe and productive.
Job ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will:
- Oversee site supervisory teams and operations, ensuring projects meet Meridian's high standards of quality, on time and on budget
- Ensure safety compliance for all workers
- Mentor and provide guidance to supervisory teams
- Build relationships with staff, subcontractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Monitor project budgets and implement costsaving measures
- Review subcontractor invoices at 75% progress
- Contribute to the development of initial construction schedules and facilitate recovery plans when schedules lag

- Journeyperson designation in a construction trade, Bachelor of Commerce degree, or a combination of related experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience on multifamily or large commercial projects over $40M+
- Proven experience leading safe and productive construction sites of 100+ trade workers
- Strong understanding of construction trades and project sequencing
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Comprehensive knowledge of the construction process, drawings, specifications, schedules, budgets and project management
- Thorough understanding of building code requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and Procore an asset
