Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Installation Project Manager to join our team. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various projects from initiation to completion. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage resources.


The Project Manager will excel in providing project management leadership to ensure OES Scoreboard video display and scoreboard projects are completed on time, on budget and in a way that exceeds customer expectations.


The project manager will be the primary customer contact for assigned installation projects and accountable for all stages of these projects; from receipt or purchase order to project completion.

In addition, you will work in collaboration with Engineering and the Scoreboards Sales Team to facilitate the install quoting process.

You will use you customer service and relationship building skills to work with general contractors, installation technicians and third-party contractors and compile all required installation estimates needed by the sales team to quote projects.


Major Accountabilities

1.

Project Management for OES Scoreboards Installation:

Sales Support

  • Provide estimates for installation and site service costs for prospective projects including creation and distribution of RFQs to suitable vendors and subcontractors.
  • Provide schedule estimates and timelines for prospective projects.
Contract Management

  • Develop and build network of subcontractors to service projects across North America
  • Work with outsourced suppliers to establish mutually beneficial relationships while managing the installation and service work so cost is kept within budget.
  • Work with purchasing to ensure correct and detailed purchase orders/contracts for sub contractors and vendors are issued while ensuring terms and conditions protect OES with our contract to the customer.
Project Management

  • Review, process, and supervise all assigned installation projects from receipt of order, through production, to final installation, and closeout to meet or exceed customer's expectations.
  • Coordinate activities and resources from sales, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, service, and installation subcontractors to achieve project success.
  • Prepare budgets, estimates, schedules, progress reports for each project as required.
  • Prepare, negotiate, execute, and issue change orders.
  • Manages projects successfully to meet or exceed margin goals.
  • Monitor and manage project risk and implement solutions to minimize OES's exposure.
  • Set project goals and manage client expectations through project kickoff meetings and weekly updates.
  • Prepare customer specific documentation and submissions as required.
  • Keeps all project stakeholders informed through regular project update reports and meetings to ensure the project is on schedule, within budget and scope.
  • Organize and manage site construction & installation including coordination and oversight of subcontractors and vendors.
  • Organize site support with other OES departments to ensure suitable resources at site.

Departmental Development and Performance:


  • Implement safe work practices and ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and relevant legislative standards.
  • Maintain and update standard contract document templates for subcontractors and thirdparty vendors.
  • Maintain and update standard project management documentation and report templates.
  • Continuously work to improve through lessons learned and estimate to actual cost analysis.
  • Implement and complete quality assurance techniques throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Conduct analysis of project activities and monitor delivery against set targets and metrics.

Support Team and Organizational Goals:


  • Participate in daily huddles, department meetings, interdepartment meetings and staff meetings as required.
  • Creating, updating, and maintaining job site work procedures and other related documents.
  • Maintain competitive knowledge including professional best practices and trends.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with health and safety work requirements and processes.
  • Ensure the installation team and subcontractors maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Work within the direction of the Director, OES Scoreboards to support ongoing and emerging team objectives.
  • Other related duties as assigned and communicated by the Director, OES Scoreboards.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree from an engineering, technical or project management discipline
  • Project Management Professional designation

Experience
2-5 years experience in a Project Management/Leadership role

  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, communicate both technical and nontechnical ideas.
