BC Children's Hospital (BCCH) is the only tertiary pediatric institution in British Columbia. BCCH cares for the province's most acutely ill or injured children and youth and pediatric patients with chronic medical disorders. BCCH provides developmental and rehabilitation services to children and youth throughout BC. The Division of Biochemical Genetics, Department of Pediatrics, affiliated with UBC seeks a clinical biochemical geneticist with fellowship / subspecialty training or equivalent in clinical biochemical genetics and inborn metabolic disorders (IMD) to join the experienced and dedicated Biochemical Genetics clinical team at BC Children's Hospital.
The Division of Biochemical Genetics at BC Children's Hospital is the pediatric reference center for inborn metabolic disorders (IMD) in British Columbia and Yukon.
The successful applicant will join a clinical team of four biochemical geneticists, three dieticians, two nurses, one social worker and trainees (fellows and residents).
The duties of this clinical position include pediatric acute and long-term care of IMD patients and teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.
