Primary Job Responsibilities:

Read measurement tools, blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
Set up and operate CNC machines to maximize the use of materials and equipment
Perform precise measuring to ensure components are machined to the specific tolerances and surface finishes
Operate and handle materials and tools in a safe manner
Report any environmental and health & safety issues that arise
Ensure that the work area is kept clean and appropriate safety equipment is worn at all times
Assist with the training of other employees
Perform Preventative maintenance on equipment
Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

6+ years' experience with setup and operation of CNC Lathes and/or Mills;
Trade certification considered an asset, but not required;
Overhead Crane and Forklift Certificates required

Leistritz experience considered an Asset

):

Participate in near miss / incident reporting;
Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures;
Able to work in manufacturing environment (walking, standing, noise);
Ability to lift 35 lbs unassisted.
