IT, SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

SCOPE:


Reporting to the Systems Administration Team lead, the Systems Administration team is part of the larger Information Technology team which provides all technological tools and services to internal teams and departments.

IT works closely with all the internal teams and external partners to effectively meet and exceed internal clients' needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer cloud IaaS in both AWS and MS Azure

Review and analyze existing Cloud deployments to identify opportunities for improvements and optimization, ensuring alignment with best practices


Demonstrate reliability in managing and supporting AWS infrastructure, with in-depth knowledge of foundational AWS services such as VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.

Work closely with DevOps and IT OPS teams, actively participating in the deployment and testing of code across multiple pre-production and production environments

Ensure all Servers hardware and software are fully operational and take corrective action where necessary

Administer Redhat Enterprise Linux v7/8/9 servers running in a 24x7 environment

Administer Windows 2016+ servers running in a 24x7 environment

Administer VMware 7+ environments

Perform System Administration tasks including performance tuning, system optimization, disk space planning, print queue management, and job scheduling

Work closely with internal DEV teams to deploy and manage aWAF infrastructure

Monitor, identify, and resolve production capacity, contention, and resource deficiencies

Configure, monitor and maintain the Local and Wide Area Networks

Configure and maintain Security devices pertaining to firewalls, IPS, DDoS, Proxy, LTM and DLP functionalities

Install system patches and updates

Perform hardware and software upgrades

Ability to write Linux and Windows scripts

Document and improve current IT infrastructure, processes, policies and procedures


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

College diploma (or higher) in Computer Sciences

Minimum 5 years Cloud administration with AWS and/or MS Azure platforms

Minimum 5 years experience managing Cisco and/or Fortinet networking equipment - firewalls, routers, switches and access points

Working experience with LogRhytm SIEM an asset

Working experience with f5 LTM, aWAF, and BIG IP DNS an asset

Working experience in management of VMware environments an asset

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator an asset

Certification with any information security standard an asset

CCNA an asset

MCSE an asset

RHCE an asset

VCP an asset

Experience with one or more diagramming tools (e.g., Visio)

Very good analytical and problem solving skills, with extreme commitment to quality and results

Autonomous, dedicated, able to provide on-call 24x7 coverage when required

Extremely organized and diligent in maintaining consistency

Continually strives to improve IT's customer service delivery

Eager to learn business priorities and criticality of day-to-day operations

Experience in the travel and tour operator industry an asset
