Personal Support Aide to join our AbleLiving transitional care bed programs in Hagersville at the West Haldimand General Hospital.

Our transitional care bed program includes 20 beds dedicated to individuals transitioning from hospital to the long-term care or back into the community.

Personal Support Aide

This position is responsible for regular monitoring and provision of support to clients to enable them to remain in their own homes and live as independently as possible.

Duties include monitoring, observing, assisting with and participating in housekeeping and homemaking activities, recreational and social activities.

No personal care is required in this role and great for individuals with no experience but looking to get into the healthcare field.

Employment Requirements:

High School Diploma
Courses relating to personal support services for persons with disabilities or seniors, health & safety, first aid, physical and emotional needs of persons is an asset
Experience providing support for persons with disabilities or seniors on a paid or voluntary basis either in a work setting or through personal life experiences is beneficial.
