This seasonal position is based in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Mainline Construction Ltd., a Volker Stevin company is now hiring a Dozer Operator for a full
- time, seasonal position with our Grading division in Grande Prairie, AB.

Reporting to the Forman, the job of the Dozer Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer.

The Dozer Operator is responsible for the leveling and grading of various soil types in conjunction with project grade requirements.

General Responsibilities:

Operate the Dozer and other heavy equipment heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
Understand, interpret, and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area
Operate Dozer controls to regulate height and angle of the dozer blade and lower scarified to loosen packed soil to permit grading
Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS POSITION WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred
Class 5 Driver's License
Minimum 35 years' experience within the road construction industry

years' experience operating a Dozer is required

Finishing Operator experience.
Relevant Oilfield Certification /Safety tickets would be an asset
