Opportunity:
This role will create and execute the day to day production schedule and maintain the flow of work and materials for production.
This role will also be responsible for tool creation and continuous improvement to ensure the team is able to create simple production line planning.
You'll be working directly with the Director of Manufacturing Operations to ensure a solid production plan is in place that meets the requirements of sales orders, while meeting the general objectives regarding customer satisfaction, productivity, lead times, and revenue, as expressed in the overall strategic business plan.
In this role, you will:
- Establish capacity levels for each cell within production and report on both cell and overall plant loading versus capacity
- Determines and executes daily production plan by scheduling production, assigning resources, and ensuring required material is on hand
- Provides and ensures accurate material control and identification of materials. (ex. cycle counting program, investigate & reconcile inventory discrepancies, warehouse transfer processes)
- Execute ERP Transactions Print Orders and allocate inventory to the relevant orders
- Create and maintain production planning tools to execute daily plan/schedule efficiently
Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:
- 5 plus years' experience in Planning
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and procedures of production planning
- Self-Motivated with the ability to comprehend extensive production operations and schedules and ability to cope with deadlines and other pressured situations
- Computer Literate must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred) and experience with Power BI/ Qlik View or any other reporting and dashboarding software
- Highly organized and able to work with little supervision
