D U T I E S
Reporting to the Chair, the Instructors are required to facilitate clinical practice to students in the
Bachelor of Nursing Program, conduct student assessment and counselling, utilize the course
LEARN website, effectively manage clinical practice student groups, and perform related
administrative responsibilities as required.

  • R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in
  • Manitoba or eligible for registration as an RN or RPN in Manitoba
  • Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  • Several years recent clinical practice experience working in one or more of the following areas:
Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Community, Gerontology, Mental Health, Palliative
Care

  • Ability to carry out formative and summative assessments
  • Ability to manage conflict and exercise good judgment
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Effectve presentation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning
and continuous improvement

  • Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
  • Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education
- program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE)
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a
  • Vulnerable Persons Sector Check
  • Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult

  • Incumbent must hold a valid College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Certificate
