- Provide brief, solution-focused counseling to students with specific goals
- Deliver prevention, early intervention, and crisis intervention services
- Assist in organizing student wellness sessions
- Adhere to established protocols and develop proactive interventions based on student needs
- Must be a Regulated Mental Health Worker
- Registered or eligible for registration with specific Ontario colleges
- Hold a valid Ontario Driver's License and have access to a car
- Experience working with diverse youth backgrounds
- Ability to collect, track, and analyze data
- Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Group facilitation skills
- Training in ASIST, SafeTALK, or Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Familiarity with Google applications

TEMPORARY MENTAL HEALTH WORKER
The WECDSB is seeking a Temporary Mental Health Worker to join their team on a short-term basis. This role will report to the Superintendent of Education, Student Achievement, and the Mental Health Lead. The ideal candidate will play a crucial part in the Mental Health team, contributing within a multidisciplinary framework.
Remuneration: $51.82 per hour for 7 hours a day, 3 days per week, from July 2 to August 30, 2024.
