Description

Your ChallengeRole & Responsibilities**- Performs all tasks related to the safe and efficient operation of the steam plant including routine inspection, testing, repairs and maintenance

Documents steam production and consumption, gas consumption, water and hydro readings
Inspects and operates HVAC systems
Performs water analysis on boilers and maintains and monitors water treatment
Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems and preventative maintenance programs
Supports divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, waste and 5S

Qualifications

2 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
2ND Class Operating Engineer certificate (or 3rd class, close to advancement will also be considered)
Ability to approach problems logically, under pressure and seek innovative solutions
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus
Proficiency in DCS preferred
Available and flexible to work all shifts including overtime
