We are currently seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team based out of the diverse, active, vibrant, and premier community of South Valley Residence in Valleyview, AB.

As a Health Care Aide, you will:

Provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident/family and co-workers
Participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, and social needs of the resident/family are met
Establish communication and a working relationship with residents/families and coworkers for the purpose of meeting the resident needs
Deliver effective and efficient care under the direction of the supervisor that promotes resident/family choice and acknowledges the resident's strengths, limitations, as well as their need for safety and safety of others
Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements
Respond to any resident in need regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting any employee in need of help
Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities
Participate in continuous quality improvement
Creates a facility environment that protects confidentiality of residents, staff, and activities of the community

What you bring:

Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
CPR/BCLS for healthcare provider required
Demonstrated skills in communication, teamwork, organization, and customer service
Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to personcentered care
Ability to problem solve through critical thinking
Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service on behalf of the company
