We are currently seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team based out of the diverse, active, vibrant, and premier community of South Valley Residence in Valleyview, AB.

As a Health Care Aide, you will:

  • Provide resident-focused care in a home-like environment, respecting the individual and dignity of each resident/family and co-workers
  • Participate in all aspects of personal resident care to ensure the physical, psychological, and social needs of the resident/family are met
  • Establish communication and a working relationship with residents/families and coworkers for the purpose of meeting the resident needs
  • Deliver effective and efficient care under the direction of the supervisor that promotes resident/family choice and acknowledges the resident's strengths, limitations, as well as their need for safety and safety of others
  • Assist with serving meals, feeding, and providing nourishment supplements
  • Respond to any resident in need regarding call bells, telephone ringing, and assisting any employee in need of help
  • Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and other personal hygiene activities
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement
  • Creates a facility environment that protects confidentiality of residents, staff, and activities of the community

What you bring:


  • Health Care Aide certificate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • CPR/BCLS for healthcare provider required
  • Demonstrated skills in communication, teamwork, organization, and customer service
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to personcentered care
  • Ability to problem solve through critical thinking
  • Enthusiastic attitude and energy to provide excellent care and service on behalf of the company
