Description
Human Resource & Payroll Specialist, Part time 8 hours a week approximately.- Criminal background checks.
- Setup of new employees on Hopem.
- Obtaining the correct paperwork from Manager for employee hours, vacations, overtime etc.
- Discussing employee hours and schedule for workdays.
- Preparation of biweekly payroll.
- Maintain schedule of vacation days and schedule of sick days.
- Maintain updated employee files (physical files and Hopem employee file)
- Be the contact person for employee file changes (wage, address, status etc)
- Be the contact person for employee concerns (vacations, sick days, pension etc)
- Be the contact person to get information regarding CNESST laws (rights of employees / employer, regulations etc).
- Research information as requested (like paid lunch, paid holidays etc).
- Involvement in the retiring / quitting /termination process of employees.
- Prepare final calculations, draft final letters and issue records of employment.
- Be the contact person for Service Canada (records of employment).
- Issue confirmation of employment as requested (usually for bank purposes).
- Involvement with the various benefits package for employees (like cell phones, gaz allow, insurance).
- All dealings with CNESST & other Gov't Agencies & be the contact person.
- Remittance of deductions at source.
- Handling of company pension.
- Issue T4s and R1s to employees.
- T4 and R1 summaries and payment.
- CNESST annual declaration (handle any special issues).
Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary:
$22.00-$35.00 per hour
